"This is the most intimate thing I've ever seen." That means a lot coming from the sex therapist who hosts Good Sex on HBO.

A hush had fallen over the room. Nobody was quite sure what was about to happen. But the headphones were on, the camera was rolling, and then they pushed play. And in the other room, silently and together, we watched their face roll through emotions: surprise, anticipation, and pleasure.

The experience of GrooveThing is difficult to explain. There truly is nothing like it. So to capture the experience, we showed the experience. We worked closely with the Kickstarter team to ensure this would fit within their terms of service, and with an ad partner to ensure that we could run Facebook and Instagram ads for a sex toy... featuring people using it on camera. And it worked. And it's definitely the most intimate thing we've ever done.
