Description
"I was thinking I'd try humming this part." An inspired choice from our vocalist in the booth, laying down the words for our cover of Blue Skies by Irving Berlin. She hummed, the piano carried, and that was the take.
The Daylight Computer is a modern display completely rethought. There's no blue light, like at all. It looks and feels like e-ink, but it's as fast as an iPad. It's black and white so it's less addictive, the refresh rate is healthy. And because the display technology is reflective, it works outside. Daylight asked us for a series of social assets, including what was dubbed "the vibes teaser", with a new rendition of the Irving Berlin classic, which had just entered the public domain. The lyrics felt like the promise of the product... "nothing but blue skies from now on." Indeed.
